Dr. Cynthia Chen-Joea is a distinguished physician leader, double board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Holding a Master of Public Health (MPH), she is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (DABOM). She is dedicated to advancing both clinical care and the well-being of her peers, currently serving as Medical Director of Copa de Oro Medical Group in Southern California.

Driven by a commitment to physician wellness and systemic change in healthcare, Dr. Chen-Joea holds a prominent national leadership position as the New Physician Director on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Her extensive executive experience includes roles such as Associate Program Director, Department Chair of Family Medicine, Secretary-Treasurer of the Medical Staff, and Physician Advisor, focusing on empowering physicians to build sustainable, balanced careers while contributing to organizational excellence.
