Elizabeth Garchar MD

Dr. Elizabeth Garchar is a Norteña — a native Northern New Mexican from Santa Fe. Her roots in the region span hundreds of years, and the Rodriguez family crest reflects her heritage as a member of one of the city's founding families. As the first medical doctor in her family, Dr. Garchar has been pursuing this lifelong mission since childhood.

A graduate of the highly competitive combined BA/MD program at the University of New Mexico, she is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her seven consecutive years as an outstanding medical-student teacher and her role as a volunteer clinical assistant professor at UNM.

As a mother of three, Dr. Garchar brings a deeply personal perspective to her practice. She is honored to serve pregnant people and minorities, combining elite medical expertise with a genuine understanding of how life-changing the journey of birth can be.
